Why we do what we do...

We've been playing music together for more than 11 years (well, more like 17 or so, but hey, any excuse to use 11). We all met during our time at seminary, jamming each week in a session we called music therapy. Paul Baglyos, aka Fender Fella (his nickname choice) is a pastor and PhD from Baltimore who plays guitar, lead guitar, and blues harp. Scott "big bottom" Stolberg (yeah, we gave him that nickname) plays bass guitar and hails from Rockford, IL where he serves as a pastor. Duane Larson, pastor and phd who hails from Houston, TX joins us from The HighPatheticals (the predecessor band which was a 10) and plays guitar and harmonica. Paul "Sticks" Amlin (and hey, that's a cool nickname, right?) is a pastor in Asbury, IA and is on the board for Almost Home.
Why 11? We think the movie Spinal Tap is hilarious. A mockumentary done by director Rob Reiner back in the day, we decided we could be at least as much fun as those guys. Their guitar player's amp goes to 11. So do we.

Each year, we gather together in a city around the United States to jam. We work hard preparing all year, then for a few days do intense in-person rehearsals, then we put on a show to raise money for a deserving non-profit in that city. We hope you'll come out and support Almost Home, a ministry dedicated to helping men in transition, giving them a place to sleep, job help, counseling, and so much more. Totally worth your time and $$.
